Why did you start playing Handball and why did you join the Wellington Committee?

I started playing handball in 2010, my brother was playing so I came down to try it out. I fell in love with the game and have played ever since. I joined the committee simply because I love the sport and wanted to enable others to have an experience like mine. Stepping up was quite a natural progression for me - I was in a leadership position at my club and I knew I had the right skill set and experience to be able to help grow the sport within the Wellington region.

Why did you start playing handball and why did you join the Wellington Committee?

I played a lot of sports throughout high school, and I started playing handball when I was in year 12 after playing water-polo. I thought that game looked fun, fast and physical, it wasn't like any other sport I had seen in New Zealand.  I wanted to join the Wellington Handball Committee to try and help improve the development of handball in Wellington and New Zealand. To help grow and make other people interested in the sport I am passionate about.

Why did you start playing Handball and why did you join the Wellington Committee?
I started playing at college because the school team needed a goalkeeper. I quickly found out that wasn't my position and switched to pivot where I fell in love with the sport. I wanted to try and give back to the sport that had given so much to me. My aim is to help grow the sport into something where I think it should be, which to me starts at a junior and youth level

Why do you play Handball? And why did you join the Wellington Committee?
I Started playing handball as I had a good friend who played and he invited me along to the beginners league. Immediately loved it. Joined the committee as my way of giving back to a sport I enjoy and want to help grow the game in Wellington so more people get involved.
